About

Hi, there! And welcome to my site. More important than my name or my face is my sincere passion for literature and learning, for people and planet, for wildlife conservation and human rights activism. People – the art they create – the whole tempestuous sea of them, are what keep me buoyant and brave enough to continue treading water. My name is Autumn Bryan. I work at the local library, the one in which my mother raised me, read to me, brought me to Storytime. It is where I collected books as a young child, where I fell in love with learning. Now, as the Children’s Specialist, I read to young children visiting the library and hope it means as much.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Florida Atlantic University. I achieved Honors in Creative Writing and Research Literature while focusing on Environmentalism. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Library and Information Science at the University of South Florida. I work as an Archive Librarian for Compassion Crossing, a brilliant conservation organization, and in my spare time write poignant articles about climate change. I have published articles for WCAPS (Women of Color Advancing Peace, Security, and Conflict Transformation), and Compassion Crossing.

The Intersectionality of Climate Action and Queer/Trans Justice.

Systems of injustice such as systemic racism, transphobia, discrimination, human rights violations and poverty perpetuate the disproportionate effects of climate change. Those facing challenges of homelessness lack adequate information surrounding climate change, often are exposed to extreme weather phenomena caused by climate change, and are not always offered accessibility to necessary housing.
